This book was written and illustrated by Tad Carpenter shortly after getting married to his best friend and now wife Jessica. After planning a wedding for over a year it came and went so quickly. Carpenter thought, I bet Santa gets so bummed out each year after his special day comes and goes so quickly. After many conversations with Santa himself Tad was right. :)

Santa does get the post-holiday blues … When the toys are all made, the presents handed out, the Christmas cookies eaten, and the stockings unhung from the chimney with care … Santa is miserable. His reindeer and elves can’t lift his spirits, and even a vacation with Mrs. Claus doesn’t do the trick. Will Santa ever feel like his old holly-jolly self again? Something tells me Santa will be back to his ho ho self in no time…but what will cheer him up?
